IWATSU ADIX TELEPHONE SYSTEM QUICK REFERENCE

 

Extension Number:  Your extension and mailbox number are the same.  On a display telephone you can determine your extension number by pressing FEAT 99.

 

Call Coverage:  You can cover calls for other extensions.  If call coverage has been set up on your telephone, the green light on their button will start flashing when they have a call.  You have to press their button to answer the call for them.   You can change whether calls for an extension for which you are covering rings at your telephone by pressing FEAT followed by the Call Coverage Button on your telephone followed by either 1 for immediate ring, 2 for delayed ring, or 3 for no ring.

 

Call Transfer:  To transfer a call to another telephone, press the button on your telephone for the extension to which you want to transfer the call or press the TRAN key and dial the extension number.  You can either stay on the phone to announce the call or hang up.

 

Call Park:  To park a call at another telephone, press the TRAN button followed by the PARK button and their extension number.  If the extension where the call is being parked has a button on your telephone, you can hit that button instead of entering their extension number.  To retrieve a parked call, either press the lit PARK button on your telephone or press PARK on another telephone followed by your extension number.

 

Call Pickup:  You can press the PICKUP button to answer a call, which is ringing at another telephone in your group.

 

Conference Calls:  To conference two outside lines with yourself press HOLD while you are on the first call and make the second call.  After the second caller has answered press ADD and the line that you put on hold to connect the parties.

 

Telephone Ring Tone:  To change the ringing tone for your telephone with the handset down press FEAT  #  * followed by a  number from 1 to 8 to listen to the tones.  Press # when you hear the ring tone that you want to select.

 

Whisper Page:  If someone is on the telephone, you can press their button and * to talk to them.  They can then press * to talk back to you or hit a text message button to reply with a text message.

 

Speed Dial:  To store a speed dial number press the FEAT button followed by the SPEED button and then the desired speed dial code (90-99).  Enter the telephone number and press FEAT to store it.

 

Call Forwarding:  To enable preset call forwarding press CALL FWRD followed by 1 and do the same procedure again to cancel it.

 

Messages:  You can press the flashing MSG light followed by # to have your telephone call voicemail to check your messages.  If you are offsite, press # when you hear the main greeting and the voicemail system will prompt you for your mailbox number and password.

 

Voice Mail Transfer:  To transfer a call directly to a voicemail box press the TO VM button, enter the mailbox (extension) number, and hang up.

 

Voicemail Access:  To access your mailbox, you can hit the VOICEMAIL button and then enter # followed by your mailbox number.  The voicemail will then ask for your password.  If you want to transfer someone calling in remotely into voicemail, you just hit the VOICEMAIL button and hang up.  They will then need to enter # followed by their mailbox number to access their mailbox.
