IWATSU APPLICATIONS
Iwatsu offers numerous standard and optional applications for its ADIX systems.
Digital Centrex Direct. Iwatsu has the ability to provide direct dial service using ISDN BRI circuits. This provides direct dial options for small business with much less expense than traditional T1 circuits and Caller ID information as well.
Simplified System Administration. Iwatsu's Segway interface allows administrators and users to administer their telephone and voicemail from their Windows PC over the LAN. There is a complete Windows based interface for administrator programming of the telephone and voicemail systems. A more limited desktop interface is also offered for user telephone programming. This option is so effective at eliminating service calls for minor system changes that AEX includes it at no cost with every customer service and support agreement.
Omegatrek Wireless. The Omegatrek is a cell based in building wireless product. Antennas are typically placed in the ceiling to provide coverage throughout a customers site for the Omegatrek handsets. The antennas can also be mounted outside the building for exterior coverage. The Omegatrek telephones are fully integrated system telephones with hands free intercom capability and 8 programmable buttons.
Amplified 8 party conference calling. Optional cards provide for amplified conference calls with up to 8 participants.
Networking. Iwatsu offers its Campus, traditional E&M over T1, and MCK VOIP or T1 based networking options. With the Campus option two or more customer sites can be connected by a T1 interface and there is total feature transparency across the network including DSS indications. The traditional networking package allows two or more sites to be connected by either E&M tie lines or fractional T1 interfaces. The traditional networking package does not include full feature transparency, but it does allow direct intercom calls and call transfer as well as centralized voicemail between two or more locations. The MCK adjuncts allow customer telephones at branch offices to be tied into the main site using either VOIP or T1 connections.
Call Distribution. Iwatsu offers a complete ACD call distribution and reporting package. The ACD software is resident on the Iwatsu switch and does not require external hardware. This eliminates one potential point of failure, which many other ACD systems have. The reporting functionality is provided by the proven Taske Reporting package.
Multiple Message Waiting Lights. Each telephone can have message waiting lights for multiple mailboxes. Many companies have personnel with mailboxes who do not have telephones. It is possible to program message waiting indications for these mailboxes on designated telephones.
Telecommuter Support. Option 1. Telecommuters can log into the telephone system remotely using a standard telephone line and the optional Iwatsu EXTender 1000. The remote user with the EXTender 1000 will have the same capabilities as the onsite user including the ability to log into ACD groups. Option 2. Calls can be also be forwarded from a user's telephone in the office to a home or cell phone using the standard external call forwarding feature. This service is transparent to the caller if ISDN BRI or PRI lines are used for the call forwarding service. The call forwarding call be turned on and off remotely at will using the optional system DISA capabilities.
Unified Messaging: Iwatsu's Adix Messenger application provides for complete voicemail integration with Microsoft Outlook and call control from the user's PC via the LAN.
CTI. Iwatsu's Contact Point and ComLink interface allows a user's PC to be connected to their telephone via a serial connection to allow call control from Microsoft Outlook and other applications.
Whisper Page. The standard Whisper Page capability on the Iwatsu telephones allows a receptionist to discreetly notify a coworker about an important call while they are on the telephone. The coworker can quickly respond to the receptionist using the standard Text Messaging capability.
Hotel/Motel. Iwatsu's standard software includes hotel-motel application capabilities including property management system interface, wakeup calls, and room status indication.
E-Response Help Call. Stations can be programmed to automatically call a group of other stations after remaining off-hook for a programmable amount of time in case of a security breach or emergency. This can help to ensure help and protection for threatened teachers, individuals in late night unprotected areas, or in nursing homes when elderly residents face an emergency.
Enhanced 911 (E911). When 911 is dialed from a system extension, the E911 feature immediately sends the caller ID information and extension number to the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). In addition, the ADIX APS attendant stations are also notified. The proper personnel or staff are instantly provided precise location information for more urgent and efficient response to the caller's emergency. Appropriate telephone lines are required for extension number notification to the PSAP.
Call Accounting. Iwatsu's optional AccuCall Pro software package provides telephone system call accounting using a Windows based PC.
Telephone Network Interfaces. Iwatsu offers a complete set of analog, Caller ID, analog DID, ISDN BRI, T1, ISDN PRI, and VOIP interface options for its ADIX APS system to meet each client's specific needs.
