PANASONIC
Panasonic offers the following analog and digital telephone systems:
Panasonic also has numerous analog and digital telephone options, which are listed on the Panasonic Photos page. Panasonic's analog telephones will work on both the analog and digital systems, but their digital telephones can only be used on the digital systems. The analog telephones are less expensive than the digital telephones so in some cases it may make sense to purchase analog telephones with a digital system.
The Panasonic digital systems include more features and capabilities than the analog systems as well as the capability to grow to a larger system size (The digital systems can actually exceed the station capabilities shown above by splitting ports between analog and digital devices.). The digital systems also have the option to use the more capable albeit more expensive digital telephone sets.
Panasonic builds a very reliable product. Panasonic's key strength is the ability of its systems to interface with analog ("single line") devices such as cordless telephones or fax machines without the need for special purpose cards. Panasonic's digital telephones include an XDP eXtra Device Port jack on the back of each telephone, which allows a single line device to be connected and in use at the same time as the telephone. The Avaya Partner product line also includes built in single line capability, but Panasonic offers a significantly better product in AEX's opinion. Thus, customers with applications requiring extensive use of "single line" devices should strongly consider Panasonic systems because of their strength in this area.
On the other hand, the Panasonic systems are typically less capable from a feature standpoint than the Iwatsu or Samsung systems. The Panasonic voicemail systems are reasonably flexible and integrate well with all of the Panasonic telephone systems. However, they can be somewhat cumbersome to use and manage.
